U adds an unheated area to the lead end of stock Mighty Watt Cartridge
Heaters. Any practical length greater than 1/2" can be selected.
The standard lead configuration is with 12" fully flexible high
temperature (850° F/450° C) leads. Specify longer length if required.
Figure U can also include braided or armor cable protected leads.
Consult Ogden. Non-stock Mighty Watt Cartridge Heaters can be designed
and manufactured with practically any unheated area. |

E provides an epoxy seal to protect Mighty Watt cartridge heaters
from the contaminates that cause early failure. Typically supplied
with 12" Teflon leads. Specify longer length. Maximum temperature
at lead end300° F/150° C.
Select Mighty Watt Cartridge Heater from stock, specify the necessary cold length, the type of termination and the lead length. Fig. E can also be manufactured to specification if size or rating required is not available from stock. |

M is a brass, steel or stainless steel pipe fitting which allows liquid
tight installation through threaded openings. Fittings are brazed.
For welded fittings and other cartridge immersion heater variations,
scroll along this section. Be certain the watt density and sheath
material are compatible with the material being heated.
