INTERBUS Installation Local Bus

The Installation Local Bus is the forward-looking, economical cabling system for serial instead of parallel wiring of all sensors and actuators. In future, the place for sensors and actuators will be on the INTERBUS without lots of intermediate stations, plugs or masses of cabling. All the advantages of the globally standardized INTERBUS technology are utilized throughout right down to the field levels.

QUICKON connection technology in the Installation Local Bus is new, compact and unbelievably simple. All you need is a diagonal cutter. Cut off the cable, strip off the sheath, push on the quick connector and that's it

The new insulation displacement connection system makes it possible: The contact pins on the front part are pushed through the insulation on the individual cores when the quick connector is screwed together.

The contact is made - without needing any further tools!

The PG standard cable gland provides a guarantee of IP 65 protection. A terminal sleeve fixes the cable in place in this system, thereby implementing the standard strain relief function.

Bus terminal blocks instead of expensive gateways
All that is needed to connect the Installation Local Bus is a simple, inexpensive bus terminal block. The universal INTERBUS protocol means there is no need for conversion via gateways.

Rapid Integration Into All Types of Device
The Installation Local Bus enables all digital, analog and intelligent peripheral devices from different manufacturers to be connected to the INTERBUS without leading to any problems. The transmission protocol offers open interfaces to superimposed networks.

Use of Standard Round Cables
A standard two-wire unshielded round cable is all that is required for connecting to the Installation Local Bus. It transports the data and simultaneously supplies electrical power to the bus and the sensors.

Universal Protocol
The Installation Local Bus uses the INTERBUS protocol. Consequently, Installation Local Bus devIPices are configured, commissioned, operated and serviced in exactly the same way as INTERBUS.
