INTERBUS sensor/actuator boxes - IBS SAB for short - are input/output units in IP 67 degree of protection with integrated bus terminal functions. The devices can therefore be operated directly in the INTERBUS remote bus or in the installation remote bus.

The compact modules are installed directly in the system or machine, without additional housings. Inputs and outputs are connected using standard commercial sensor/actuator cables.

The sensor/actuator boxes can be operated with all INTERBUS components from PHOENIX CONTACT and compatible devices from other manufacturers in a single bus structure. The advantage is that you can adapt INTERBUS to your machine or system. You can thus exploit the economic benefits of distributed installation to the full.

Easy "Plug and Play" installation
The connections for INTERBUS and the sensors and actuators have been constructed to be pluggable. This saves time during installation and maintenance. Easy bus connection with screw clamp connectors
INTERBUS and the power supply are transported into the terminal compartment through PG-threaded joints and connected with MINI-COMBICON screw clamp connectors.

Preassembled cables in any length can be found in catalog part INTERBUS. To disconnect, the connector is simply removed. That makes system expansions and maintenance easier.

Can be mounted on aluminum fixtures or on flat wall surfaces
INTERBUS sensor/actuator boxes can be mounted directly on the wall, or on aluminum mounting fixtures. The protective ground connection can be made by means of a functional earth on the outside of the housing.
