In order to prevent voltage fluctuations that result when generators are switched on and off, the power sources must all be coordinated.

At present this voltage regulation is being automated. In the necessary control units, all binary signals are led over relay and optocoupler modules from PHOENIX CONTACT for Isolation purposes. These pluggable components are characterized by an integrated ground connection to the mounting rail as well as by the coding possibility which guarantees a reliable assignment of different voltage levels. Analog MCR input and output isolating converters ensure an interference-free and precise signal monitoring between the field devices and the controller.
