Lenze compact converters

With over 50 years of experience in drive systems, Lenze GmbH & Co KG, Hamlin is today one of the leading suppliers of mechanical and electronic drive components and turn-key system solutions and automation.

In addition to new types of integral and geared motors, clutches and brakes, this company with worldwide operations also has a wide spectrum of power electronics for direct current, frequency inverter and servo technology. The main areas of application are machine and plant building industries and production, ventilation and environmental technology. The new "8200 vector" series inverters with vector control, modular control functions and simple integration in common automation concepts have been designed to guarantee the necessary functional reliability and economic "Drive" in the class of compact inverters too.

In addition to the "inner values", great importance was attached to simplicity of installation and speed of wiring or start-up: compact modular design, standardized drill dimensions for switch cabinet mounting and pluggable p.c.b. terminal blocks for the power connections.

Small, powerful and inexpensive, ...

these attributes are not only true of the "8200 vector", but also of the ZEC direct plug connector from PHOENIX CONTACT used.

They make contact on the p.c.b. without an additional pin strip, i.e. the plug components are simply plugged onto the path on the edge of the 1.6 mm thick p.c.b. The pitches of 5.0 mm or 7.5 mm match a nominal voltage of 250 V or. 400 V. For control voltages up to 125 V, a version with a 3.5 mm pitch is also available.

The conductor connection is designed with spring cage technology and is operated with a screwdriver from the front. The clamping space can take rigid and flexible conductors up to 1.5 mm2 (1 mm2 with a 3.5 mm pitch) with and without ferrules.

The plug components are coded via a bar in the housing or a groove in the p.c.b., so that the plug cannot be incorrectly plugged in at the side or the polarity of the plug reversed.

Using sprung engagement catches and correspondingly positioned holes on the p.c.b., the plugs are secured against accidental removal caused by pulling the conductor or vibration, for example.

Extra modules such as motor or line filters can be snapped onto the basic device simply and inexpensively with the ZEC-LPV P.C.B. connectors. The external connection, i.e. the ZEC plug component – simply moves across to the extra module.
