The Thermal Edge vibration package is designed to protect the internal air conditioner components from the effects of moderate vibration. Short rigid refrigerant lines connecting the compressor are replaced with shock absorbing loops to prevent work hardening and eventual fracture of the copper tubing. Fixed insulated clamps are used to restrict vibration at critical points. Pressure sensors are tied to the lines where motion might cause harmonic vibration. And, electrical lines are over wrapped where they might rub against hard parts.
For severe vibration, such as off road equipment and industrial applications, stainless steel flexible refrigerant lines are used to connect the compressor. Consult your Thermal Edge Representative for mounting considerations on severe vibration applications.
