| For OEM machinery manufacturers, maintaining PLC
programs for customers can be a difficult and expensive task to accomplish.
Program maintenance upgrades and additional functionality can be crucial to
increasing productivity. Machine OEM’s want an easy method to update a
customer’s program on site without making a service call or without requiring
an expensive computer and software package. The plant engineering / maintenance
staff needs a solution that is quick, easy, and requires little or no training.
They also need the flexibility to determine when the upgrade takes place in

| The CPM1-EMU01 EEPROM Loader
is a hand held unit that plugs directly into the peripheral port of the Omron
PLC. It is plug compatible with the CPM1, CPM1A, and CQM1 Controllers. A future
upgrade (–V1) will be introduced
shortly that will expand the compatibility to include the CPM2A, CPM2C, SRM1-V2,
and future controllers. A front mounted ZIF socket accepts the EEPROM. Upload,
Download, connect, and error indicators are on the front panel. |
