Ametek Valve-in-head Housings

Optional Pressure Relief/Bleed Button is located on the inlet side of the cap. For cartridge change outs the button is automatically activated by turning the handle to the off position. To bleed entrapped air from the system, turn the handle 1/4 revolution and then depress the button manually.

3/4" (19 mm) NPT Valve-in-Head (VIH) filter housings are manufactured from FDA grade polypropylene. The valve in the cap is made of FDA grade delrin. Three concentric EPDM O-rings on the valve prevent internal bypass up to 125 psi (8.62 bar). Housings are sealed with a 341 Buna-N O-ring.

Vi H Housings incorporate the same rugged design and application features as standard 3/4" (19 mm) NPT housings, with the uniqueness of Ametek's internal shut-off (U.S. Patent No. 4,731,183). The internal Vi H allows both inlet and outlet ports to be shut off internally simultaneously with a half turn of the handle. This eliminates the need for external shut-off valves, easing installation and cartridge change out. Radial sealing 0-rings and sealing surfaces are continuously cleaned each time the valve is used, ensuring leak proof operation.

Two body lengths are available for sizing flow rates of 1 to 20 GPM (4 to 76 LPM)

#10 housings take a 9 3/4" to 9 7/8" (248 to 251mm) long cartridge with flow rates of 1 to 10 GPM (4 to 38 LPM).
#20 housings take a 20" to 20 1/8" (508 to 511mm) long cartridge with flow rates of 1 to 20 GPM (4 to 76 LPM).

NOTE: Opaque caps and sumps are interchangeable.
